Donate or recycle your old cell phones, just search the web for "recycle cell phone" for a wealth of options. Old phones can be re-programmed to only dial 911 and not receive calls and can be re-used for personal safety.

Recycle your used inkjet printer cartridges. Since 1999 the US postal service has made free mailers available for returning printer cartridges for re-use. The plastic mailers are typically located in the lobby no postage is required. This program may soon be expanded to other office equipment.
